Dean was raised in Detroit and his early training was based in classical ballet, which he considers the “root” of his discipline. As a highly regarded dancer on the stage and screen he has worked with and learned from choreographers from the likes of Vincent Patterson, Marguerite Derricks, Robin Antin, Barry Lather and the late Bob Talmadge. His TV/Commercial/Film appearances include 6 Feet Under (Dir. By Kathy Bates), Old Navy’s national Holiday campaign of 2000 featuring Megan Mullally of Will And Grace (Dir. Matthew Rolston), Nike, Sony, Mad TV, and Not Another Teen Movie. Dean has been an important creative force behind the career of LeAnn Rimes through her stage performances and music videos. He recently choreographed her latest video, Grammy-nominated “Nothin’ Better To Do,” a song he co-wrote with LeAnn and Darrell Brown.
